TSL Kirklees Members’ Meeting: Focus on Children and Families
Thursday 13th June
2pm to 4pm
(Please aim to arrive for 1.45pm so that we can start promptly at 2pm as Mel Meggs has limited time available due to an Ofsted Inspection.)
This is a great opportunity for any local third sector organisations who work with children and families to meet and hear from Mel Meggs, the new Director of Children’s Services for Kirklees Council. We want to make sure that she’s aware of the range of vital and innovative work our members do in this field and so we’ll be presenting short case studies from some of our members. And as ever, there’ll be chance to network over tea and cake, make connections and build relationships, and find out who’s doing what in Kirklees.
In addition Groundwork will be telling us how groups in Kirklees can apply for grants of up to £20k for innovative projects around encouraging people into work, training & education (similar to our own Community Learning Works project).
Meetings are free and open for members of TSL Kirklees, or for non-members who would like to visit before joining. Membership starts from £12 per year. Find out more.
