Member News: CUP Community Activators Scheme

Year 3 Report on Their Work to Support People in Disadvantaged Areas to Create Community Activities

Attached is some information regarding the Community Activators Scheme which is a project funded by the Big Lottery (started Feb 2016) and delivered by Communities United Project (CUP). It is a 4 year project which helps people in Kirklees to step up and create activities for young people.

Children and young people’s services have been hit by cuts, so what can we do?

The answers vary from community to community but here at CUP we support people in disadvantaged areas to create great community activities.

Our work develops strengths, builds skills and opens up routes to training and qualifications.

We create change. It starts with community activities and ends with stronger, more resilient individuals and groups.
